michelle & quinn. winter portraits.
erin & jesse
from a session late last year. before i ever met erin and had only spoken to her on the phone… i felt like we were meant to meet… we spoke as if we had known one another for more than twenty seconds. it was a lovely connection and led to a lovely session on the beach with her beloved jesse. isnt he a stunning dog? hes young and frisky and every dog on the beach loved him… no doubt. i am so grateful for work like this.. it fills me up. xos

robyn & wade. summer love.
merridale… such a beautiful place to say i do. i will. forever and always… i have handpicked some of my favourite portraits and a few candids from this lovely day last summer… xos

christine & damon
here a look at some of my favourite portraits of the stunning natural beauty christine and her handsome husband damon. being part of this wedding felt right… arriving into a warm calm and easy going day at one of the best island locals (craidelonna)made for a memorable day. in fact, it could not have been more perfect. the joy in their faces and emanating from those you were there to surround them with support and love was evident and filling. xos
john & cathy
this was such a happy day. a sweet elopement tucked in the middle of summer. we went on a mini hike to find some locations to create these images after a beautiful touching ceremony at the sooke harbour house. there is a lot of love between these two and i was blessed to meet them and share this afternoon. xs
jacob & laura
the confessions of a pregnant blogger… after spending the summer in the depths of morning sickness i almost entirely gave up blogging. it seemed it was the one thing i could let go of in order to keep my business commitments to the highest of my abilities and grow this baby i have been working on for over 30 weeks now! as the new year arrives and january brings slower times with less on my editing plate, and as i await the arrival of baby hull nankivell i am going to blog all the weddings and portrait sessions i was so lucky to be part of in 2011 that never made it here. today i start with the lovely and beautiful laura and jacob. we spend an evening playing in my neighbourhood before they left for the ferry~ what a beautiful couple and what a taste of summer.. sun kissed skin and late day sunshine. two things that are rare to eye in the depths of winter. heres to a new year and a serious effort to blog my way caught up in the weeks to come. xos
